The last poppy flower
Primary DV material includes the following:
1. Living conditions of the people in the Golden Triangle (primarily Wa minority). Includes daily life and production labor. Approximately 1,000 minutes.
2. Religious activities of the Wa and Dai minorities in the Golden Triangle (Christianity and Buddhism), market scenes and gambling. Approximately 800 minutes.
3. Social activities, military training and basic structure of the rulers (the united Wa State army). Approximately 1,000 minutes.
4. The state of education (primary and middle school) and sanitation/medical conditions in the northern and southern areas of the Wa State. Approximately 600 minutes.
5. The state of crop replacement (anti-drug) measures and their successes in the north and south areas of the Wa State. Approximately 1,500 minutes.
6. The process of extraction of jadeite, rubies and gold from Myanmar by local militias in the Golden Triangle. Approximately 1,500 minutes.
7. Precious historical DV footage of the Golden Triangle area (conflicts between the united Wa State army and the Kunsha army), and the great migration of the south. Approximately 300 minutes.
8. Scenes of ethnic minority life along the banks of the Mekong River in northern Laos and northern Thailand. Approximately 1,200 minutes.
9. Ancestor-worship activities among ethnic minorities in the Simao area, and in Xishuangbanna along the China/Myanmar border. Approximately 600 minutes.
