Synopsis: TanBangWu (91 years old) is one of the famous elder boatman in the Three gorge area. He and his four sons are all the relocatees of the TGP(Three gorge project). The first is to construct a boat for make a living from tour on the boat, the second is to chisel a funeral monument include he and his wife who had died one year ago, prepare his funeral affairs. With ten years time span, in the background of the great Three Gorge dam over the Yangze River , this documentory records the living condition of several generation boatman, records the history and volition of the boatman, the power and pride of the boatman.
